Fundraising is vitally important for any charity.  This can take the form of big events, geared to raise hundreds or even thousands of pounds, or smaller events which may raise just a few pounds.  We are grateful to all fundraisers for their efforts - every penny counts.

We are looking to set up a group of Fundraising Friends of Haworth Cat Rescue who would take over the administration of fundraising undertaken by supporters. We hope to find a group of 2-5 people who are motivated, able to work as a team and committed to making the most out of every fundraising opportunity.

We don’t expect the Fundraising Friends to undertake events themselves (though we won’t complain if they do!), but to act as liaison between fundraisers/supporters and our committee.

Some of the things our Fundraising Friends will do are:

• Act as a point of contact for people wanting to fundraise

• Supply fundraisers with information and leaflets etc about Haworth Cat Rescue

• Ensure that our newsletter and website editors are aware of events due to take place

• Notify the local papers of forthcoming events

• Offer advice to fundraisers with regard to legal requirements and practicalities
