Fundraising is vitally important for any charity.  This can take the form of big events, geared to raise hundreds or even thousands of pounds, or smaller events which may raise just a few pounds.  We are grateful to all fundraisers for their efforts - every penny counts.

Because the area we cover extends a long way beyond the location of our centre, we are in the process of setting up groups of supporters who will undertake several fundraising events each year on our behalf.

The Halifax Friends are holding a stall at several galas and fetes local to them over the course of summer 2011, and aim to hold a few supermarket collections over the winter months.

We would like to have Fundraising Friends in the following areas

• Skipton

• Bradford

• Huddersfield

• Colne

We would also be interested in any friends who would like to set up and run online groups.

The Friends groups would book, organise and manage fundraising events of their choice and in locations of their choice (subject to availability).  We will provide literature, banners, tables (if required), and other means to aid the fundraising including press releases and access to our online calendar, but not people to run or manage the events.

On a smaller scale, we have new jewellery that we can offer to you to sell in aid of Haworth Cat Rescue.  Many of our local supporters have had great success holding jewellery parties at their homes or in local pubs.
