Donating is time-consuming, isn't it? You have to write a cheque, visit our centre with cash or go online to donate with your credit card. You love the idea of donating, and when you win the lottery charities like ours will be at the top of your list to donate to. But for now, you can't afford much, it's too much hassle to write a cheque, or to visit us, or to go online for £1, £2.50 or even £5. So you don't. You decide to wait until you hit the big time when you feel your donation will be worthwhile. This is how many people think. They are lovely people, with the best of intentions, wanting to do something that makes a difference...but they do nothing as they don't think it will be worthwhile. But think about it from the charity's point of view. It is far better for us to have 500 donations of £1 than one or two intended big donations that never materialise. This is where the beauty of standing orders shows itself. You simply complete it once, send it to us and your donation is debited from your bank monthly, quarterly or annually...whatever you decide. It's as easy as that. You can donate as much or as little as you can afford - even £1 every month will be £12 which could save the life of an orphaned kitten. For us, the standing orders we receive give us a guaranteed income each month. We know how much to expect and how much more we'll have to raise. Standing orders are invaluable to us, irrespective of the amount. Please, if you would like to help us, and want to make a real difference to the work we do, complete a standing order form today. It will only take you ten minutes or so, and it will make all the difference to the cats in our care. Download a standing order form here, or email us and we'll post you one. Thank you. |
Did you know? It costs around £6500 per month to run our centre. Some of the costs we incur are below. Will you help us pay our bills? £100 buys basic dental work for a cat; £46 spays a female cat, preventing her having multiple unwanted litters; £34 castrates a tom cat, saving him from a life of fighting, straying and disease; £12 buys a packet of kitten formula which can save the life of an abandoned kitten; £5 treats a cat for worm and flea infestation, giving relief to the cat & preventing the spread of disease; £1 feeds a cat for approximately two days. |
